As the CEO and Founder of Ace Cookie Tutoring, I help teens love to learn by teaching them HOW to learn.

I offer study skills and executive function skills tutoring and coaching because most curriculums are one-size fits all and don't meet every student's personal learning needs. When teens don't know how to learn, and they're not given the personalized instruction they need, then school, let alone learning, is not fun (for them or their parents!).

Because of this, I knew I needed to create a program to help teens love learning again. A lack of skills, not ability, is the only thing standing in any child's way from success in learning. When students know HOW to learn, they love to learn. I've taught 100s of teens around the world how to learn anything, anywhere, in or out of the classroom, changing how they feel about learning in every class.

As a former valedictorian and straight-A student, I know how to study. As a student who rarely just "got it" and an educator who's worked with SO many teens who think they'll never "get it", I know what skills your teen needs to succeed and love learning again.

Note Taking: an essential writing skill used every day by teens and adults.

Motivation: Desire and curiosity can stoke motivation. This is the why.

Organization: This is a lifetime skill that doesn't take excuses. Dogs don't eat homework here.

Time Management: Knowing what HAS to be done and WHEN improves grades as a teen and serves adults well, too.

Confidence: Knowing he can learn will make class easier. Knowing she has learned will improve scores and will improve just the way she feels.

Self-Advocacy: Standing up for yourself matters. It's a skill every teen should have. Combined with confidence, it is the skill that will let your teen say, "Can we do that again so I'll understand it better?"

Annotating: is a way to make finding information quicker and easier.

Creating the perfect study sessions based on learning style: Your teen cannot pick the assignments, but he can definitely study more effectively when he knows how he learns.

Goal Setting: Your teen may have big dreams. This skill helps her get there.

Soft Skills: Customer service immediately comes to mind. Your teen will learn how to act and react when facing the public and dealing with teachers and peers.

Retain Information: Every day teens are asked to learn new things. With this skill, your teen will learn ways to remember better and what to remember in the first place.

Grit and Resilience: Sticking it out isn't always easy. Bouncing back can be even harder, but where will your teen go if she can't try again? This is another life skill that is so important to learn.

Where does the COHORT happen?
The COHORT is 100% virtual via Zoom.
When does it happen?
The COHORT will meet from January 27, 2025 through mid-May. We will create up to 3 meeting times each week depending on demand. Those times will be announced and be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Currently, we are planning on Mondays with Ace Cookie Tutoring contractor Synthia from 4 – 6 pm Central (US) and Wednesdays with Jessyka from 6 – 8 pm Central (US). The third meeting will be offered on Saturdays depending on enrollment.

Your teen can attend on Mondays OR Wednesdays each week.

All COHORT meetings will be recorded, so if your teen were to miss a learning session, the recording will be available for viewing at a later date.
Who will facilitate the COHORT?
I, Jessyka Coulter, or my contractor, Synthia, will facilitate each of the COHORT meetings.

During the bonus 1:1 sessions and group office hours, I will be the one meeting with your teen.
How many teens are in a COHORT?
30 seats are available for purchase through the beginning of the year. But, each COHORT meeting will host a maximum of 10 teens and a minimum of 3 teens.
Why the COHORT format?
There is a lot of research supporting the idea that teens learn well from one another.

My original Love to Learn program is available in its 1:1 format with personalization and time to work with your teen on an individualized basis. Having graduated many teens, I know it works well. Please know that you are still able to have your teen join that program if is your preference. I started Skill 'n Chills last year and had a lot of success with them, but families were struggling to follow the one night a month format. The COHORT is similar to the Skill 'n Chills, but after enrollment, you and your teen will receive a schedule with each session date and Study Skill.

In addition, several mamas said they would like their teens to learn the study skills more quickly. By creating the COHORT, I was able to lower the price, another mama request, and I have created a schedule that has weekly lessons with a study skill per week. The entire program is complete in 14 weeks.

Your teen will have learned each of the Study Skills, had the chance to work in a group with a facilitator, and done homework using the Study Skills. In addition to the Study Skills, your teen will also have attended a much requested special lesson called Test Taking Skills and Overcoming Test Anxiety.
What is the Prove It Supplement bonus?

Its regular price is $400. Your teen will receive it absolutely free with a one time payment of $999 before the end of Cyber Monday. Is there any support outside of the COHORT lessons?
During the program, I will offer several free group office hours. If your teen wants to ask more questions or wants to dig a little deeper to learn how to apply the study skills to specific classes, that will be available. Also depending on the group dynamics, we can review a missed lesson.

Another added bonus is that I will be offering each teen two 1:1 (one-on-one) sessions during the COHORT between weeks 2 and 11. We can apply study skills to classes or work more on learning preferences and apply them to classes and study skills. We can also apply study skills to a specific assignment if that is what will help your teen best. Making up a missed lesson is also an option.
What are the installment plans?
In order to receive the Special Black Friday pricing and the Prove It: 12 Activities to Test Your Teen’s Study Skills supplement absolutely free, you will need to make a one-time payment of $999 before 11:59 pm on Cyber Monday Central (US).

There is also a Black Friday installment plan. With the installment plan, you will NOT receive the supplement, but you will still receive a discount of more than $10 per lesson. The monthly installment plan is $312 per month with the first payment due today and additional three installments due every subsequent 30 days. The total payments will be $312 x 4 = $1,248.

Once you enter into the program, it is not refundable.
